We built this 1977 Scout Traveler to be refined and modernized from the ground up, but not forgetting the unrivaled utility of an International.  It is powered by a GM 6.0 and backed by a Hughes 4L60e and Dana 300 transfer case.  There are ARBs is the NOS Dana 44 front and 35 spline Currie 9' rear, to keep the 35 tire/ Trailready beadlocks turning.  Custom bumpers, rocker panel guards and full protection belly pan skidplates keep the classic body lines from being rearranged by the trail.  The wheel wells have been cut and tubbed while retaining body lines to keep a low center of gravity with the greatly increased wheel travel.  The body was completely stripped, rust removal performed and then painted, with the interior and underside receiving top quality polyurethane coating.  A 6 point cage, custom dash and vintage air ac system finish off the interior.  The chassis was hot dip galvanized, then powder coated to ensure longevity. Plumbing was done to full race specs, and wiring was performed by Finish Line Racing to incredible standards.  This build was all about the details, with no part left untouched and only the finest replacement components.  It recently sold at RM Sotheby's auction for $128,800!
